This place was great. We were going through the state late at night and found the hotel by accident. Hotel and all the amenities seem brand new, and the owner greets you at the desk. We loved the spacious room, and decor. If you are in the area and nee a place to stay, this hotel is a no brained. Prices we awesome, service was great, will stay there again.
The room was very clean and nice! There were things available for breakfast. The only thing I would suggest is to clean the kennel room. We swept spider webs and cleaned out the kennels before we put our dogs in the cages. We did like that it was heated.
Great hotel, service, clean. Nostalgic, feel like going back in time. We had several family members stay there, they forgot some items in their rooms. Shari was able to track them down and items were returned to them. Thankyou so much. Would highly recommend to stay there!!!
Quaint and charming! This place exceeded my expectations for a small town hotel. We brought our family here to stay while visiting the Ingall's homestead in DeSmet. Highly recommend!

I found myself stranded in Willow Lake due to a blizzard and Home Town Hotel became my “safe place” for 3 days! From the amazing pleasant owners to the cleanliness - this was an oasis during the storm ! Unique saloon style hotel - trust me I had time to explore! Would recommend over and over . Thank you Sherrie and Wayne for literally “saving me” from the blizzard and a special thank you to the 3 locals that dig my car out and helped me head home .
Beautiful, spacious rooms with a bunch of local newspaper clippings and local photos incorporated into the room. We loved it. It was really clean and the owner was very helpful and communicative when I was making the reservation.
This hotel has a great atmosphere giving the feeling of the early settler times. I give 5 stars because of the price. The rooms are large and clean. Understand she doesn't have enough business to offer more for breakfast so that is a bit, well I like juice or fruit in the morning and she just has kid's cereal or a pre packaged pastry. Still a great place to stay.
